DATABOOKS

WHAT ARE DATABOOKS?

These books were distributed to the dealers by the factory at the beginning of each season.

They listed the detailed specification for the seasons' machine as a guide to the dealer.

Usually they were marked 'Private and Confidential' as they were issued to the dealers prior to the beginning of the season.

If a model was changed during the season then this was reported by issuing a Dealers Service Sheet to list the changes.

The BSA Owners' Club would like to thank John Gardner of the Gold Star Owners Club and Jack Harper, formerly of the BSA factory, for allowing me to copy the ones missing from the Clubs' archive.
